Roy Keane gives fitting response to Ronaldo’s critics

Cristiano Ronaldo starred once again for Manchester United as they managed to draw against Chelsea. Thomas Tuchel’s side dominated the game from the start and put pressure on Man United. Chelsea’s constant pressure was rewarded when Marcos Alonso opened the scoring in the 60th min to give Chelsea the lead.

The lead only lasted for two mins as Cristiano Ronaldo soon pulled the goal back for Manchester United with a fantastic volley. This was Ronaldo’s 17th Premier League goal this season with only Mohamed Salah scoring more.

Ronaldo despite being 37 is still having an outstanding campaign for Manchester United. The Portuguese has scored important goals for Man United throughout the season and this goal vs Chelsea saves Man United from sinking further down the European spots.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel praised Cristiano for the impressive show and insisted that players must take inspiration from him:

“I think many players can look up to the quality, attitude and career of Ronaldo,” said the Chelsea boss.

Former Man United Captain Roy Keane responded to Ronaldo’s criticism. Ronaldo has often been labeled the problem for Man United but Keane responded to the critics in a sarcastic manner:

“Cristiano is such a big problem for Man United, scoring goals week in, week out, it’s not good.”

“Imagine if Cristiano Ronaldo was in the Chelsea team. He’d get 50 goals.”

Keane’s comments were loved by the Man United fans who still consider Ronaldo an integral part of the team. Its the media and rival fans and pundits who have started an agenda of Ronaldo being the problem.

Cristiano despite being 37 has still attracted interest from Top European clubs and his future at Manchester United remains uncertain. Only Ronaldo will decide where he wants to play next season.
