Real Madrid and Barcelona to face each other in preseason Clásico on July 29 in Arlington, Texas

Real Madrid and Barcelona are set to face off in a friendly El Clásico match on July 29th in Arlington, Texas, as part of a six-club, eight-match preseason series.

The event, called the Soccer Champions Tour, is organized by a newly formed company of the Sixth Street investment firm and will be staged in partnership with AEG and Legends.

The series also includes matches between Manchester United, Arsenal, AC Milan, and Juventus. This will be the third Barcelona-Real Madrid preseason matchup in the U.S., following games in Miami Gardens, Florida, in 2017 and Houston last July. The series kicks off with Barcelona-Juventus in Santa Clara, California, on July 22, followed by Real Madrid-Milan in Pasadena, California (July 23). Other matches include Arsenal-Barcelona and Real Madrid-Manchester United in Inglewood, California, and Houston respectively (both on July 26), Juventus-AC Milan in Carson, California (July 27), AC Milan-Barcelona in Las Vegas (Aug. 1), and Juventus-Real Madrid in Orlando, Florida (Aug. 2).

The scheduled games are contingent on approval from soccer authorities. It should be noted that the Premier League in England and LaLiga in Spain will commence on August 12, while Italy’s Serie A will start a week later.
