Cristiano Ronaldo is nearing the end of his career. The Portuguese has played 20 years at the top level and is still hungry for more. However, at the age of 37 one can expect that Ronaldo might have only 2-3 or may be 4 years left before hanging his boots. Ronaldo’s son Cristiano Jr celebrated his 12th birthday two weeks back and Jr has previously asked his Dad to carry on until he starts playing professional football.
Ronaldo has revealed Cristiano Jr’s desire of playing with him in a previous interview:
“My son tells me ‘Dad keep on playing a few more years, I want to play with you.'”
Only time will tell if we get to see Cristiano Ronaldo and Cristiano Jr playing on the same team but right now a lot of uncertainty is surrounding Ronaldo’s future.
Ronaldo is not really happy with Man United’s ambitions in the transfer market due to which the Portuguese might consider his options in the summer.
A return to Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Roma, Sporting, so many options are available for Ronaldo to choose from.
Cristiano still has a few years to go before his retirement but the Portuguese is already sure about which club he is going to retire at. On his retirement plans, Cristiano said:
“I will retire at Sporting. I have to give it to them even if it is one season of my service. They scouted me while no one saw something special in me, they made me and without them I would be probably working at McDonalds.”
Ronaldo’s first club of his career was Sporting and his last club of his professional career will also be Sporting. A fitting end to a remarkable career.
