Cristiano Ronaldo ready to sue Kathryn Mayorga over rape case allegations

Cristiano Ronaldo was served justice as the rape allegations made by Kathryn Mayorga over him were denied by the US judge. In June, the judge dismissed the rape allegations lawsuit over Cristiano Ronaldo. Mayorga claimed that she was raped by Cristiano Ronaldo in Las Vegas in 2009, however, Ronaldo has denied the allegations.

The US District Judge Jennifer Dorsey on June 10 ruled out Mayorga’s case with a severe sanction to never file it again. The Judge also said that Ronaldo has been harmed by Stovall’s actions.

Mayorga’s lawyer Mark Stovall was accused of bad faith for “abuses and flagrant circumvention of the proper litigation process”.

It is reported that Ronaldo’s team are ready to sue Kathryn Mayorga and demand a fee of $626,000 (£516,000), as the lawsuit against Ronaldo was dismissed.

The rape allegations had a serious effect on Cristiano Ronaldo as he was robbed of the Ballon D’or award in 2018 by Luka Modric with some journalists clearly stating “they can’t vote for a rapist.”

Ronaldo’s lawyer in a press conference on Wednesday said:

“Given Stovall’s abuses and flagrant misconduct, Stovall should be made personally responsible for ensuring (Ronaldo) is reimbursed for having to defend against his vexatious and bad faith conduct.”

Mayorga’s lawyer will answer in the court on July 8th.
