BREAKING: Cristiano Ronaldo doubtful for Man United’s clash vs Leicester

Manchester United face Leicester City in what promises to be an exciting fixture in the Premier League. Man United must win to keep their top 4 hopes alive for the season. The reds have been struggling for consistency this season and they have failed to win games in a row. However, they can’t afford any more points dropped as the upcoming fixtures are vital for the top 4 race.

Manchester United suffered a 4-2 defeat at Leicester in the earlier fixture where the red devils were completely outplayed. However, the reds would fancy their chances at Old Trafford especially after a good rest of two weeks.

In a blow to keep their top 4 chances alive, Manchester United will most likely be without their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo for the game against Leicester City. Cristiano played two full 90 min games during the International break for Portugal where he helped Portugal qualify for the World Cup. The two games were extremely important for Portugal’s cause so Ronaldo had no rest during the International break.

At the end of the International break, Cristiano Ronaldo had returned to England and he was also spotted at Carrington tomorrow. The Portuguese only worked indoors and missed group training. He hasn’t had enough recovery time between the International break and hasn’t trained enough since his return to Manchester United. And according to Samuel Luckhurst, Chief writer for Manchester Evening News, Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t spotted with the 21 man Manchester United squad to face Leicester City tomorrow.

Manchester United might be without their top scorer tomorrow but its a must win game for the red devils to keep fighting for the top 4. Cristiano Ronaldo would most probably return for the next game but a loss tomorrow could well bring curtains to any hopes of a top 4 finish for Manchester Untied this season.
